The Foundation

The Fundación Andersen Iberia aims to generate a positive, sustainable, and transformative social impact, based on the conviction that education and knowledge are key to progress. Guided by this vision, it promotes access to opportunities that foster personal and collective development.

This commitment, championed by the board of directors, takes shape in initiatives that foster equal opportunities and inclusive growth, translating into concrete actions aimed at generating real impact and creating long-term value in society.

Our Origins

The origins of the Andersen Iberia Foundation lie in the immediate and decisive response required by the 2024 deadly floods in Valencia, an event that was particularly close to the hearts of the professionals at the Valencia office, from which key management areas of the firm are led. In that context, the team’s involvement demonstrated the ability—and the responsibility—to act with agility and commitment in situations of special need.

From this experience and the close ties to civil society and the Valencian business community, a long-term initiative emerged: the Fundación Andersen Iberia. The Foundation was established with the ambition of extending its impact beyond a one-time response, projecting its social work across all cities in Spain and Portugal where the firm has a presence.

Pillars of Our Social Commitment

Promoting initiatives that improve access to education and foster the development of talent among underserved populations.

Promoting projects that foster knowledge, research, and cultural dissemination in our society.

Supporting social organizations and promoting volunteerism as a driver of impact and commitment.

Developing initiatives aimed at improving the integration and opportunities of vulnerable groups.

Mission and Areas of Activity

Mission

The Foundation is guided by the firm conviction that knowledge, education, and training are the most powerful drivers of individual and collective progress. Its mission is to promote education in the broadest sense, facilitating access to opportunities that enable the development of talent, reduce inequalities, and create new prospects for the future.

From this perspective, the Foundation believes that promoting access to knowledge is not merely an opportunity, but an inescapable responsibility for organizations that aspire to generate a positive, tangible, and lasting impact on society.

On this basis, the Fundación Andersen Iberia acts as a vehicle for transformation, channeling the firm’s commitment into initiatives that create real and sustainable value. In this context, it structures its activities around four priority areas and a cross-cutting operational pillar, defined in accordance with its founding statutes and its commitment to making an impact.

Areas of Focus

The Fundación Andersen Iberia focuses its activities on four priority areas: education; scientific and cultural advancement; support for the nonprofit sector and volunteerism; and the social inclusion of vulnerable groups. Through these areas, it channels its initiatives with the goal of creating opportunities, promoting knowledge, and contributing to a more inclusive society.

Across all these areas, its work is organized through pro bono programs and corporate volunteering, mobilizing the firm’s talent to amplify the impact of its efforts and respond effectively and with commitment to the needs of the community.

Transparency as a Commitment

The Transparency section of the Fundación Andersen Iberia aims to ensure clear, accessible, and understandable access to relevant information about its activities, its organization, and its operating principles. Transparency is an essential pillar of the Foundation and a necessary condition for building trust, ensuring accountability, and reinforcing its commitment to society.

In this regard, the Foundation makes its main institutional documents available to all stakeholders, including the Transparency and Good Governance Policy, the Bylaws, the Annual Reports, and the Annual Financial Statements. Through this information, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to responsible, rigorous management aligned with the highest standards of integrity and good governance.

Ethical Channel

Ethical Commitment and Reporting Channel

The Fundación Andersen Iberia is a social organisation established with the aim of promoting equal access to educational opportunities. It is founded on the conviction that knowledge and education are essential drivers of progress, and that facilitating access to them is an inescapable responsibility for those who aspire to make a positive impact on the collective well-being.

This purpose is directly linked to the humanism that characterises the firm and its professionals, as well as to their desire to actively contribute to building a more balanced, supportive society that is aware of shared challenges. In this context, our commitment is articulated through a series of values that guide our actions: equal opportunities, social responsibility, integrity, solidarity, humanism and independence.

The Fundación Andersen Iberia also has an Information Channel that allows for the confidential and, if desired, anonymous reporting of potential breaches of the Ethical Commitment, management irregularities, unlawful conduct or any other situation that could violate the values and principles governing the Foundation’s actions.

Commitment to Sustainability

Strategic Alignment with ESG Principles

The work of the Fundación Andersen Iberia is fully aligned with ESG principles, integrating environmental, social, and good governance criteria into the development of its initiatives. In the environmental (E) sphere, the Foundation promotes responsible digital education, encouraging the conscious and efficient use of technology. It also prioritizes solutions that incorporate best practices in technological efficiency and strengthen digital citizenship, contributing to a more sustainable and ethical educational ecosystem.

In the social sphere (S), the Foundation drives initiatives focused on equity and inclusion, such as scholarship programs that facilitate access to and social mobility within higher education. Furthermore, it supports the incubation of EdTech projects centered on accessibility, inclusion, and the improvement of educational outcomes, with a special focus on contexts characterized by greater vulnerability or structural barriers.

Regarding governance (G), it builds trust through transparent criteria and traceable processes in both scholarship awards and project selection. This is complemented by a firm commitment to data protection and the protection of minors, applying strict privacy and data minimization policies, as well as ensuring ethical principles and human oversight in sensitive applications, particularly in environments that incorporate artificial intelligence.
